Whose cookies these are
This page describes the cookies set by handlemybills.co.uk, which is run by Axiom Labs Limited. A cookie is a small file your browser keeps for a site so that the site can recognise it later.
Cookies we set when you sign in
When you sign in, our authentication service sets several cookies whose names begin with sb-. They hold your signed-in session so that you stay signed in as you move between pages. They are cleared when you sign out or when they expire.
Cookies we set when you use a control
- sidebar_state, for seven days, only when a signed-in user opens or closes the side menu.
It is read by nobody but your browser and our pages. It remembers a choice you made and nothing else.
Cookies we do not set
We set no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we set no cookie of our own merely by opening a page.
Third parties
A bot check, Cloudflare Turnstile, loads with every page to tell people from automated traffic, and may set a cookie on its own domain. Signing in with Google uses Google's cookies on Google's pages.
How to clear them
You can delete these cookies at any time through your browser's settings; signing out clears the sign-in cookies. Blocking cookies altogether will stop you signing in.
The cookie that keeps your place
When you start a request without an account, sending the start form sets one cookie, hmb_intake. It holds a random reference and nothing about you: no email, no postcode, no bill. It lets this browser carry on with the request you started. It lasts 24 hours from your last step, and at most seven days from the start, and it is cleared when you create your account and claim the request.
