Answers to the questions people ask us most.
When will you reply?
Within one working day, by email. We’re here Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm UK time. There’s no live chat.
Can I ask about my case?
Yes. Use the email address on your account and include your case reference if you have it. Anything that needs your decision happens in your account, never by email.
I’ve had a text that says it’s from you. Is it genuine?
We only text when something is waiting for you in your account. Our texts never ask you to reply, and never ask for passwords, codes or bank details. If you’re unsure, don’t tap the link. Go to handlemybills.co.uk yourself, sign in, and tell us about the text here.
Something you hold about me is wrong. How do I fix it?
Tell us what’s wrong and what it should be, using the email address on your account. We’ll reply once it’s fixed.
How do I make a complaint?
Send us a message and say it’s a complaint. Tell us what happened and what you’d like us to do, and we’ll come back to you by email.
What shouldn’t I put in a message?
Your bill, provider password, security answers, one-time codes or bank details. We never need these by email, and bills are added in your account.
Can I ask you to stop working on my case?
Yes. Sign in and tell us to stop, or send us a message. We stop anything not yet agreed with a provider. If something is already under way, we’ll tell you what it is and what can still be done.
I haven’t used Handle My Bills yet. Can I still get in touch?
Of course. You don’t need an account to write to us. And if you’d like us to look at your broadband, you can start your free check now.
